All matches must be played either on the date specified or prior to that date.
Mixed Handicap Fourball
The lowest handicap player plays from scratch, his/her partner and their opponents receive the full difference in handicap strokes. Men take their strokes as per the men’s index and women take their strokes as per the women’s index. The handicaps are those in force on the day each game is played.
Handicap Singles
The lowest handicap player will play from scratch conceding his opponent full difference in handicap strokes to be taken in matchplay as shown on the card. The handicaps are those in force on the day each game is played.
Handicap Fourball
The lowest handicapped player plays from scratch, his opponents and partner receive full difference in handicap strokes to be takenin matchplay as shown on the card. The handicaps are those in force on the day each game is played.
In the event that a handicap match is all square at the eighteenth hole then play sudden death starting at No 1 tee. The handicap strokes are given again as at the start.
Matchplay Cards
It is now part of NZ Golf regulations that all players must put in matchplay cards.
Disputes
In case of dispute, the Match Committe/s decision shall be final
Cards
All cards must be properly signed and dated and placed in the card box before the player leaves the course. Any incorrectly marked will not be eligible for competition.
Entering Cards
All cards must be in at least 10 minutes before starting time.
Ties
In championships, knockout and flight, the winner will be decided by sudden death playoff if all square.

Australian Stableford
Players complete a stableford round without using their own handicap (i.e. playing off scratch). Add your handicap to the completed round points
Nassau
Players complete the normal match of the day but prizes are given for the best outward and inward nine holes.
Greensome
Player and partner each hit two shots from tee and then select the ball they wish to continue thereafter alternating their shots. Normally 40% of combined handicap is allowed.
Kickers Style
You are allowed to replay one shot each hole
Arizona Pairs
Pair your score with your partner to form the smallest double digit e.g partner 6, your score 4 gives 46
Irish Fourball
Played under single stableford rules:
1st 4 holes – Best 1 score, 2nd 4 holes – Best 2 scores, 3rd 4 holes – Best 3 scores, Last 6 holes – -All 4 scores
